Woman arrested at Renton massage parlor for felony
A search warrant led to the arrest of the 39-year-old woman following allegations of attempted prostitution and unlawful imprisonment.

A 39-year-old woman was arrested at the Q Spa in Renton on charges of first-degree attempted promotion of prostitution and unlawful imprisonment on Wednesday, June 15.
With the assistance of the Valley SWAT Team, the Renton Police Department’s Special Enforcement Team and Direct Enforcement Team served a search warrant at 4508 NE 4th St. at 8:15 am
The investigation came after an unidentified woman called police, alleging that after accepting a job at Q Spa, she was being sexually exploited at the business. The woman also told the police that she was being held against her will and that she expected to perform sexual services.
She had found an opportunity to flee the business and called 911, police said.
Q Spa is a local business that, according to Yelp.com, offers massage, facials and waxing services. Searching for a particular phone number on Q Spa’s Yelp page and on Zaubee.com leads to several escort service websites.
Promoting prostitution in the first degree is a Class B felony in Washington state, which carries up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to $20,000, while unlawful imprisonment is a class felony C, which means up to five years in prison and a fine of up to 5 years. up to $10,000.
