The Bainbridge track is well attended

The Bainbridge High School track and field team is huge this spring with 55 boys and 45 girls.

Coach Andy Grimm said six seniors lead the boys team. Mathuran LeDorze is their top sprinter with Evan Gray and Peter Mace Korytko their best distance runners. Leading the pitching events are Alex Miller, Elias Roa and Aiden Freitas.

Others returning include: Charles Smith, Max Strom, Rowan Skipton, Thomas Steen, Dylan Tyler, Will Alston, Micah Bryant, Joe Capps, Pavel Dhaliwal, Tristian Evans, Brad Montgomery, Rowan Schick, Zach Shields, Bodie Strom and Finn Wenker.

The girls are led by senior Allie Wildsmith, who placed fifth in the state in the high jump as a freshman in 2020 before COVID-19. Other senior standouts include distance runners Eden Michael and Lucy King, with Claire Jackson excelling in the throwing events. Sophomore Ella McRitchie returns with a personal best of 13 feet, 7 inches.

Other returnees are: Yasmine Meyers, Alexandra VanNocken-Witmer, Rose Weaver, Olivia Berg, Jennifer Briones, Mayzie Carleton, Abrianna Chotiner, Lily Curtis, Isabella Decina, Katie Doyle, Elise Gonzales, Claire Hungerford, Emma Kalstrup, Clara Maclise, Hailey McCulloch , Elise O’Hartigan, Elizabeth Patterson, Clara Pehling, Liliana Pohl, Sophia Samant, McKennah Thompson and Camille Zaro.
